Hulse is a single-player reflex game. The game itself runs entirely on your device. A few features use the internet: an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch to continue a run, an optional Game Center leaderboard, and anonymous, aggregated usage analytics that you can turn off. This policy explains, plainly, what each involves.
The following stay on your device, in iOS local storage (UserDefaults), and are
never transmitted to us or anyone else:
Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
Hulse shows one kind of ad: an optional, rewarded “revive” ad. It appears only if you tap to watch it after a qualifying run, so you can continue from your current score. Declining simply ends the run normally. There are no banner ads, no full-screen ads between rounds, and no forced ads.
To serve these ads, we use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process:
We request non-personalized ads only (npa=1 is sent with every ad request).
Non-personalized ads are not based on a profile of your past behavior; limited
data may still be processed for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and to show
and measure the ad. This data is handled by Google as an independent controller
under its own policies. We do not receive your personal data from Google, and
we do not link any of it to an identity, because Hulse has no accounts.
Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and Google’s advertising terms: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
In regions where consent is required (including the EU/EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), Hulse uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before the first ad is shown. Where consent is required, you can review or change your choice at any time:
Because ads are non-personalized and tied to no account, there is no advertising profile held by us to reset.
To understand how Hulse is used — and to decide what to improve — we collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. This is on by default; you can turn it off at any time in Hulse → Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data.
What is sent is limited to coarse, non-identifying events such as: the app launched, a run started or ended (with the score reported only as a broad band — for example “26–50”, never the exact value), a revive ad was offered or watched, the leaderboard or settings screen was opened, sound was toggled, and fever mode was reached.
We do not send your name, email, exact score, Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), or any data that identifies you, and we do not use this to track you across other apps or websites. TelemetryDeck is designed so this data cannot be tied back to an individual user or device identity, and processes it on our behalf under its own privacy terms (telemetrydeck.com/privacy).
Hulse offers an optional worldwide high-score leaderboard using Apple Game Center. If you are signed into Game Center, the score at the end of a run is submitted to the leaderboard, and your Game Center alias and scores are shown to other players in the in-app leaderboard. This is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/); Hulse keeps no servers and no copy of this data of its own.
Game Center is optional: if you do not sign in, the game is fully playable, no score is submitted, and nothing about you is shown. You can turn Game Center off at any time in iOS Settings → Game Center.
Hulse does not track you in the sense defined by Apple’s App Tracking
Transparency framework. We do not access Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA),
we include no AdSupport or AppTrackingTransparency code, and we therefore do
not (and will not) present an ATT prompt. Our App Store privacy label reports
“Data Used to Track You: No.”
Hulse contains no objectionable content and no user-generated content, and is rated for general audiences. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad content is constrained to a general-audiences rating in our ad provider’s settings. If you believe a child has provided information through the ad service, contact Google via the links above; for any concern about the app, contact us at aytacmetu@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because Hulse holds no personal data about you on any server:
The legal basis for non-personalized advertising is your consent (collected via UMP where required) and our legitimate interest in offering an optional way to continue a run. For users in Türkiye, this processing and your KVKK rights are addressed on the same basis. To make any request, or to ask a question, email aytacmetu@gmail.com.
If we change how Hulse handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
